Guru Parampara — गुरु परम्परा

The unbroken chain of teachers through which initiation and teaching are transmitted.

Authority in Vaishnav tradition rests on parampara: a teaching is accepted because it descends from a recognised acharya through named gurus, not from personal opinion.

Families record their kul-guru and the math they are attached to; this is often how a household's sampraday is identified today.

गुरु परम्परा — अर्थ

गुरुओं की अटूट शृंखला, जिससे दीक्षा और शिक्षा हस्तांतरित होती है।

वैष्णव परम्परा में प्रामाणिकता गुरु परम्परा पर टिकी है — शिक्षा इसलिए स्वीकार्य है क्योंकि वह मान्य आचार्य से नामित गुरुओं द्वारा आई है, व्यक्तिगत मत से नहीं।

परिवार अपने कुलगुरु और सम्बद्ध मठ का उल्लेख रखते हैं; आज प्रायः इसी से घर का सम्प्रदाय पहचाना जाता है।
