The Jat farmer whose simple faith is the tradition's favourite teaching story, with hymns in the Guru Granth Sahib.
Dhanna's story — offering food to a stone image until the Lord ate with him — is told in every Bairagi household to teach that sincerity outweighs ritual precision. Three of his hymns appear in the Guru Granth Sahib. He is remembered with Pipaji and Raidas as evidence that Ramanand's satsang included farmers, cobblers and weavers on equal terms, and his shrine in Tonk district draws devotees from Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
धन्ना की कथा — पत्थर विग्रह को भोग अर्पित करते रहना जब तक भगवान् स्वयं भोजन न करें — प्रत्येक बैरागी घर में यह सिखाने के लिए कही जाती है कि निष्ठा विधि की सूक्ष्मता से बड़ी है। उनके तीन पद गुरु ग्रन्थ साहिब में हैं। पीपाजी एवं रैदास के साथ वे इस बात के प्रमाण हैं कि रामानन्द के सत्संग में कृषक, चर्मकार एवं जुलाहे समान रूप से सम्मिलित थे; टोंक ज़िले में उनका स्थान राजस्थान, पंजाब एवं हरियाणा से भक्तों को आकर्षित करता है।
