Her padavali made Vaishnav devotion a woman's own voice and is sung in every samaj bhajan mandali.
Mira left royal life for Giridhar Gopal, associated with Vaishnav sants at Vrindavan and Dwarka, and left hundreds of pads in Rajasthani and Braj. In samaj practice her songs are the entry point of devotional education for girls and women, and the Mira bhajan mandali is often the most active unit of a local sabha. Her example is also used in the community's ongoing work to keep widowed and single women within social and religious life rather than at its edge.
मीरा ने गिरिधर गोपाल हेतु राजसी जीवन त्यागा, वृन्दावन एवं द्वारका में वैष्णव सन्तों का सत्संग किया तथा राजस्थानी एवं ब्रज में सैकड़ों पद छोड़े। समाज व्यवहार में उनके पद बालिकाओं एवं महिलाओं की भक्ति शिक्षा का प्रवेश द्वार हैं, और मीरा भजन मण्डली प्रायः स्थानीय सभा की सबसे सक्रिय इकाई होती है। उनका उदाहरण समाज के उस निरन्तर प्रयास में भी प्रयुक्त होता है जिसमें विधवा एवं एकल महिलाओं को सामाजिक-धार्मिक जीवन के केन्द्र में रखा जाए।
